Twin Cities Granite Countertop & Kitchens

Caring for your countertops is fairly simple. Clean spills up immediately and do not let them sit for a prolonged time. You can use most household cleaners on your countertops however some may leave a film as time goes by. This can be removed by cleaning with a water/vinegar solution. Many cleaners are coming in versions formulated for granite and can be used with confidence. If you have a stubborn piece of dried food on your tops a razor blade may be used to get it off.

We will seal your countertops at the time of installation and will provide you with a sealer to maintain them. If you run out simply bring the bottle we provided you to us and we will fill it free of charge. We recommend you seal your countertops every six months to a year. The process is very easy and we will provide you with instructions. You can check your countertops by putting water on them, if it soaks into the stone you should re-seal.

If you stain your countertops notify us as soon as you can. Most stains can be removed with a poultice and minimal effort. The information can be readily found on the internet and we can provide it for you as well. If you would prefer we can do the work for you however multiple trips may be required to do the work and can become fairly costly.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or acid based cleaners on your granite.

If you chip your countertops please save any pieces that may come off and apply some tape over the damaged area to protect it from further damage. Notify us and we can make the necessary repairs.
